The application deadline for the Autumn 2017 grant cycle was Tuesday, October 31. The deadline for Spring 2018 grant applications will be announced early in the Spring term.
Awards are reviewed by a selection committee and will be decided on the basis of the significance of the travel to the student's academic and/or professional development and the potential for the student's work to contribute to greater understanding of the field in which they are working.
Preference is given to students who are enrolled in a major/minor/Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization program in one or more of the five DISCO areas: American Indian Studies, Asian American Studies, Disability Studies, Latina/o Studies, and Sexuality Studies. Graduate programs do not exist in all areas, so if you are engaged in an area without a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization, please describe the relevance of the area to your research. Preference is also given to students who have not received travel grants in previous years.
This application form cannot be started and saved for submission at a later date; please be sure to have prepared all required materials before completing this form.
