DISCO Working Group

The DISCO Working Group was an official working group of the OSU Humanities Institute, which provides funding and organizational support. The Working Group included members drawn both from the eight DISCO member programs as well as others across the university who are interested in issues related to the intersections of race, class, gender, dis/ability, ethnicity, and sexuality, and helped to formalize the common purpose of advancing intellectual work at Ohio State that is focused on social differences, power, and justice by providing collaborative opportunities for research, curricular coordination and development, and cultural programming. This group completed its work in 2013 with a final symposium on the future of diversity in higher education.
