Leslie E. Wingard (B.A., Spelman College and Ph.D., UCLA) is Associate Professor of English at the College of Wooster in Ohio and a Visiting Scholar in DISCO for the Summer 2017 term. Her book manuscript under contract with University of Georgia Press is entitled The Sacred and Secular Reconciled:  Productive Dissonances in Black Literature and Culture.  She has held research and teaching fellowships at Williams College, Princeton University, and Haverford College.  Her writings have appeared in Religion & Literature, Religion and the Arts, and American Quarterly.
